Incident Details

Resler was criminally charged for tasering two sleeping men in an inner-city hotel in 2003. Resler was acquitted in 2007. In a 2008 Disciplinary Hearing, Resler was found guilty of Unlawful or Unnecessary Exercise of Authority contrary to Police Service Regulation for deploying a Controlled Energy Device for the same incident. He was suspended for 90 hours without pay.
