French was subject to an ASIRT investigation and arrested and charged with offences relating to the trafficking or a controlled substance in 2007 - 2008. He was fined and required to complete 18 months probation and 240 hours of community service. Aston, Maertens-Poole, Berge and Zielie admitted to purchasing anabolic steroids from French. Minarchi also purchased steroids from French.
