Incident Details

Quaidoo struck an individual handcuffed in the back of the police vehicle in 2008. During a disciplinary hearing, the presiding officer found that the individual’s Charter rights were violated and that Quaidoo had embellished his testimony to create a false narrative to justify his actions. Quaidoo was fired from the Edmonton Police Service, and a 2014 LERB hearing dismissed his appeal to have the dismissal overturned.
