Incident Details
Barton was found not guilty in 2021 after facing three charges of perjury following an investigation by ASIRT that began in 2019. It was alleged that Barton, on three different dates, affirmed two false affidavits and gave false testimony in court in regards to a family court proceeding involving himself and his former domestic partner. Barton was also previously charged with domestic violence in 2017, but those charges were withdrawn. As of July 2021 he was suspended without pay.
